Linarc allows the creator or general contractor to delete a submittal as long as it remains in draft status or is only in the initial stage of its workflow. This is particularly useful in scenarios such as:
- Accidental creation or submission of a submittal
- Duplicate submittal requests, allowing deletion of redundant entries to maintain clarity
- Obsolescence of the submittal due to project requirement updates, design modifications, or other factors
Roles and Permissions: Only users with 'Delete' or 'Manage' permission for the Submittal module can remove a submittal
- General Contractor - The GC can remove submittal entries they created before initiating the workflow and performing routing in the first step. For entries created by other stakeholders and forwarded to the GC for initial review and workflow setup, the GC can also remove these before establishing the workflow and proceeding with the initial routing step.
- Other Stakeholders - The user who creates the submittal entry can remove it until it is in the draft state. If a stakeholder other than the general contractor creates the submittal, they cannot remove a submittal once they perform initial routing to the general contractor.
To delete a submittal
- Ensure that you are in the management console of the project
- Click the app launcher , select 'Documents'
- Click 'Submittals' on the top, then select 'Boards' on the left
- Click on a submittal card to open it
- Review the details and submittal request description and other details.
- Click the 'Delete' button on the right and confirm your action
The submittal is deleted and removed from the submittal registry of that project.
