The collaboration feature in the scheduler module lets you have a context-based conversation to chat with the other participants of the tasks. The conversation helps you have real-time communication with the other parties, like the project managers of the GC, architects, engineers, and other subcontractors involved in the task, to clarify your doubts, get opinions, and so on.
The context-based conversations are helpful in collaborative scheduling.
Once the GC assigns the work packages and items to subcontractors of different trades and specialties, the master schedule pushes the items to the respective subcontractors. Each subcontractor receives the allotted items on the schedule module of their project management console. Each subcontractor can then hierarchically break down each assigned item into subtasks and activities and creates a contractor schedule. The master schedule fetches the contractor schedule for each assigned item. The GC can review the contractor schedule for each item, effect revisions by discussing with the subs, approve, and publish them.
The built-in instant messaging chat module helps the general and subcontractors to discuss the shared work items, their timelines, etc., and finalize the schedule.
The conversations are item-specific and include only selected participants who are involved in a task item. This ensures that any sensitive information, data, and digital assets are shared only between the entitled people involved in the specific context. You have control over who gets which information.
