Linarc sends notifications on various events throughout the projects' lifecycle through different channels to alert the project managers and other users, enabling them to take timely action. Users can select the events for which they want to get notified and the channels they prefer. The available channels are:
- In-app notification - The new notifications are indicated by the bell icon at the top right of the project management console. Clicking the bell icon opens the notifications in chronological order.
- Email notification - Emails are sent to the user's registered email address. You configure the frequency at which you want to receive the email notifications for each event type specifically.
- SMS - An SMS notification text message is sent to the user's mobile phone for the selected events
- Whatsapp - The notification text message is sent as a Whatsapp message to the user's mobile phone
The 'Notification Preferences' menu allows you to select the events and channels granularly.
To set up your notification preferences
- Login to your account to open the project portfolio screen
The 'All Projects' screen opens by default.
- If you are on a different screen, click 'All Project' on the top to return to the 'All Projects' screen
- Click 'Notification Preference' on the left
The object types for which notifications are available, are shown as a list.
- Click the arrow beside an object to see the events for which notifications are sent:
- Select the checkboxes for the channels you want to receive the notifications for that event
Tip: All events have in-app notifications enabled by default. You can deselect them if you do not want them.
- If you select 'Email,' click inside the 'Mail Frequency' column to choose how often you want to receive the notification emails for that event type.
- Daily - The notification emails will be sent cumulatively for all events at the end of the day
- Weekly - The notification emails will be sent cumulatively for all events that occurred during that week at the end of every Monday
- Immediate - Notification emails are sent instantly upon the occurrence of each event
- Repeat the process to set up your notification preferences for different events and the channels through which you want to receive the notifications
