In the course of the workflow of an RFI, the RFI workflow manager of the general contractor involved in it can edit the settings of the pending steps in the currently assigned workflow at ay stage.
Roles and Permissions: Only the users with 'Manage' permission enabled in their role can edit the workflow
- You cannot edit the steps that the RFI has already passed.
- You cannot add or remove the steps in the current workflow
- You cannot change the company type assigned to each step in the current workflow, but you can replace the currently assigned company with another of the same type. For example, if the company type specified in a step is 'Subcontractor,' you can change the company from Subcontractor Company A to Subcontractor Company B in the 'Company Name' column.
- You can change the number of days allotted for the step as per the primary workflow.
To edit the workflow
- Open the RFI if not already done. To do so:
- Open the project management console
- Click the app launcher icon in the top-right and select 'Documents'
- Click 'RFI' on the top, then choose 'Boards' or 'Log' from the left
- Click on the RFI card (in board view) or the name (in the list view)
- Click the 'Workflow' tab
- Click 'Edit Workflow'
- Click inside the 'Company Name' column of any of the pending steps and choose the company from the drop-down
- Double-click inside the 'Process Days' cell of the respective row and change the value
- Click 'Save' for your changes to take effect
The assigned companies and the due dates are adjusted automatically.
