You can specify the production quantities planned for the leaf-level items in your schedule as the total amount of work done or the deliverables expected to be achieved on completion of the task.
This is useful in tracking the work done and deliverables achieved along with the progress of the task and calculating the predicted end date and other essential parameters. The actual quantity achieved gets dynamically updated along with the progress updates.
- Field level tasks - Fetched from the reports from the foreman. The project managers can also manually update the actual quantity.
- Assigned Tasks - Fetched from the task progress as reported by the subcontractor.
Note: The planned quantity is auto-populated for the tasks imported from the project estimate. Anyway, you can edit the values as required.
To specify planned quantity to a task
- Navigate to the schedule page of the project
- Ensure that you are in the grid view
- Ensure that the 'Planned Unit of Work' column and 'Unit of Work' columns are available in the grid
- If not, right-click on the table header and select those from the list of columns. Click here to learn more about adding/removing columns.
- Double-click inside the 'Planned Quantity' column and enter the value
- Double-click inside the 'Unit of Work' column and enter the units by which the workdone is measured, for example, Sq. Ft, Meters, etc.
The values are auto-saved.
