Field reports provide a comprehensive view of the job site to the project managers. These reports serve the contractors to get the details of the deployment of resources like the labor and equipment on the site, tasks executed, weather conditions, and many more. The reports also contain the task progress photos shared by field staff for each day.
- Linarc auto-fetches data from the information entered by foremen and the crew using their mobile applications.
- The module collates the data from various modules at the end of each shift and generates reports for each day/shift.
- You can view the field report for the current day and any previous days from the 'Daily Field Reports' interface.
From this screen, you can:
View Daily Field Reports
- Ensure that you are on the management console of the project
- Click the app launcher icon in the top-right and select 'Field'
- Click 'Analytics' on the top, then select 'DFR' on the left
The DFR for the current date is shown by default.
- Click the button at the top-right to reload the page and display the most up-to-date data, ensuring that all recent changes or updates are reflected accurately.
- Click the button to view the site images and photos uploaded from the field on that day
- To view the report for an earlier date, select the date and shift for which you want to see the reports from the respective drop-downs at the top-right
The report shows the following cards at the top with a summary of the details:
- Foreman - The name of the foreman, the number of tasks worked on that day, and the shift timings
- Crew - The number of crew members worked on the site, cumulative working hours, and the labor cost incurred for that day
- Equipment - The number of equipment deployed and the cost incurred because of them
- Weather - The weather in that day
The tasks executed are shown with thier details as a list. Each task is shown with metrics like the total effort hours spent and the cost incurred, the labor and equipment resource utilization, and the task notes entered by the foreman, if any.
Download DFR as a PDF Document
The 'Daily Field Report' screen allows you to save a copy of the report as a PDF file for sharing and record-keeping purposes. You can generate the pdf file of the DFR for any previous date and download it.
To download the DFR
- Open the DFR screen to view the report of the current day and shift
- If you want to generate the PDF for the report pertaining to an earlier date, use the 'Date' and 'Shift' drop-downs at the top to select the date/shift
- Click the 'PDF' button
The 'Downloads' pane displays a list of any previously generated PDF files for different dates, providing quick access to past versions for reference or review.
- Click 'Generate'
The system compiles the PDF version of the report. The process takes around 30 seconds.
- Reopen the 'Downloads' pane by clicking the 'PDF' button.
The recently created PDF file is shown at the top of the list if there are multiple items.
- Click to open the file on a new browser tab.
- Click to download it.
- Download and save the file on your device.
