Filter Options

Modified on Wed, 30 Oct at 3:27 AM

The scheduler grid allows you to configure rule-based custom filters and sets of filters to display only the relevant entries in the table. Filters can be nested, with each successive filter or filter sets applied sequentially, enabling you to drill down to the specific entries you want to view.  The 'Filter' option allows you to add your filtering rules. Each rule contains three components: the column, the search criteria, and the relation.

For example, you may want to view only the items that are assigned to a subcontractor AND with planned days set up to more than 10 days. You can first create a filter to show only the items assigned to the contractor, then add one more filter to show only the items with planned days of more than 10 days. You can build as many rules as required to apply to the results sequentially.

You can also use the filters to create custom views of the grid to show only the items classified and organized based on specific criteria. See Manage Custom Grid Views to learn more.

To add filter rules and rule sets

  • Click the filter icon  .
  • Select the column.

  • Choose the condition. The conditions available depend on the selected column

  • Enter or select the filter criteria. The option is available as a drop-down or a text box depending on the column chosen.

  • Click 'Apply'.
  • Click 'Add Filter' and repeat the process to add more rules to the filter set

In the example above, the rules are added to show the tasks assigned to a specific contractor whose plan days are more than ten days.

  • Click 'Add Filter Set' to add more filter sets to the sequence

The grid now shows only the rows that satisfy the rules applied sequentially. You can save the filter by creating a custom view for the table with this filter applied.

  • Click the trashcan to remove individual filters/filter sets
  • Click 'Reset' to remove all filters/filter sets at once
