Add Punchlist Items

You can add all defects identified during the inspection as individual punch list items (PLIs) to the event.

  • For a newly created event, the PLI creation wizard starts immediatly after saving the event. Click here to continue.
  • To add an item to an already saved event, you need to open it from the 'Events' list
Roles and Permissions:
Only users with 'Create' permission for the 'Punchlist' module enabled in thier role can create punchlist items.
Note:
The Linarc Mobile app requires access to your device's camera and microphone. Please ensure that the necessary permissions are enabled on your device for the same.

To open an event

  • Select the project and open the Punch List module  on your Linarc mobile app
  • Ensure that you are in the 'Events' screen. Tap 'Events' at the bottom if you are in the 'Items' view
  • Tap on the event to open it

To add a Punch List Item

  • Tap the plus icon at the bottom right

The PLI creation wizard starts with the plan sheets:

Tip:
If the item is not location specific or does not require the location to be specified, tap 'Skip' at the top right to skip those step.
  • Select the plan sheet most appropriate to point to the location of the defect
Tip:
  • Use the view option at the top to switch between grid view and list view as per your convenience
  • Use the 'Search' and 'Filter' options at the top to find the sheet you want
  • Select the location markup and drop the pin on the spot on the plan drawing

Tip:
You can use two-finger gestures to pan and zoom-in the sheet.

  • Use the markup tools at the bottom to create a markup on the plansheet to illustrate the defect. See Markups to learn more about the plan markups. 
  • Tap 'Next' to save the location
  • Enter the details of the PLI

Subcontractor – The contractor company to whom the item is assigned. This is fetched from the event details and cannot be edited. 

Item title –  Enter a short summary of the identified defect as item label.

Priority - Select the criticality of the item.

Description – Explain the defect. You can enter the description in three ways:

  • Type the description
  • Tap the mic and speak out the defect. Our in-built voice recognition transcribes your narration into text seamlessly.

or

  • Tap the Text icon and point your camera to the description written elsewhere. The built-in OCR identifies the text and adds the description.

Due Date - Select the date on or before the issue needs to be resolved

Attachments – Attach photos and/or videos to show the issue. You can add the attachments in two ways:

  • Tap the camera icon to open the device camera and capture photograph or video of the defect. 
  • Tap the image icon and upload the photo/video from your device gallery

  • Tap on the thumbnail and use the markup tools at the bottom to annotate the photo before uploading it. See Markups to learn more about the markup options.
  • Repeat the process to add multiple items
  • Tap 'Add Item' to save the PLI as a draft. 
  • Tap the plus icon at the bottom right and repeat the process to add more PLIs to the event.
