Create a Punchlist - Overview

Project Managers or any other staff, with the permission to create/manage punch lists in the Linarc Platform, can create punch list events for each of their inspections, walkthroughs, etc., from the office using the web console. This is useful to record the defect items noted during your walkthroughs and inspections and assign them to respective contractors from the office.   

Note:
The Linarc Mobile Punchlist tool is available on iPads and Android devices that enable users to create punchlists directly from the field.

  • Each event is specified with the trade and the contractor whose work is inspected. 
  • If defects pertaining to different trades/contractors are to be identified during a walkthrough/inspection, create separate events for each trade and specify the contractors respectively
  • Once created, add the defects and issues identified during the event as punch list items (PLIs). 
  • The items in an event can be published and pushed to the respective contractor in two ways:
    • Publish the event - Once you add all items to an event, you can submit the event so that all items included in it are published at once
    • Publish Items - You can submit individual items to push them to the contractors individually
  • You can add more items to an event even after it is published.
