The Punchlist events and the items can be viewed in the list view and the board view:
The ‘Punch List Boards’ interface
- Open the project management console
- Click the app launcher icon
in the top-right and select 'Quality'
- Click 'Punch List' at the top
The Punchlist Boards open by default.
Events List View
- Click 'All Events' on the left to return to the 'All Events' screen if you are on any other screen
- Event - The title of the punchlist event, shortly describing it. Click the name to open the event and view the list of punchlist items (PLIs) included in it.
- Created On - The date on which the event was recorded on Linarc
- Event Date - The date on which the punchlist event will be executed
- Assigned To - The subcontractor to whom the PLIs included in the event were assigned
- In Progress - The number of PLIs recorded in the event is under resolution
- Total - The total number of PLIs recorded on that event
- Participants - The stakeholders from different companies that participated in the event selected from the list
Search, filter and sort options:
- Use the 'Search' box located at the top left to find any project using any value from the table as search criteria
- Hover over a column header and use the sort icon to sort the table in ascending or descending order of the entries in that column
- Right-click the column header and customize the display and order of the columns as you wish
- The options at the top right allow you to filter the entries, and manage personalized and customized views of the table. Use the links below to learn more about these:
View Groups and Subtotals
- You can get totals and subtotals of numerical data for any selected set of records by grouping and applying nested grouping. Use the
icon at the top right to organize the data by column headers.
- The system automatically aggregates relevant numerical values, giving a structured breakdown and a clear view of the grand total distribution. See Group and Organize Items in a List View for more details
Download as Excel Sheet
- Click the
button at the top right to save a local copy of the list in Excel format for sharing and record-keeping. See Download List Views and Logs in Excel Format for more details.
Open an event to view the PLIs
- Click the name of an event to view the list of PLIs included in it
- Item - The name of the PLI. Click the name to open the PLI to view the details of and respond to it
- Created On - The date on which the PLI was recorded
- Priority - The criticality of the item. The possible values are 'High,' 'Medium,' and 'Low'
- Due Date - The date on or before which the defect needs to be resolved and closed
- Assigned to - The contractor responsible for resolving the defect. The PLIs included in an event are auto-assigned to the contractor to whom the event is assigned.
- Hours Spent - The labor consumed to rectify the defect
- Status- The progress stage of the PLI. The possible values are:
- Draft- The item has been added to an event, but has yet to be notified to the responsible contractor. You can do this in two ways:
- Publishing the event - All items in the event move to the 'Open' state at once
- Publishing items - You can individually publish items to push them to the respective contractor
- Open - The respective contractor is notified of the item. The contractor has yet to respond by accepting or disputing the item.
- Work Accepted - The contractor has assessed the item and agreed to work on it
- In Progress - The item is pulled for execution on the field, and the work is in progress
- Resolved - The defect has been resolved, and the creator has been notified. The creator needs to approve the resolution.
- Approved - The PLI creator has assessed the defect resolution and approved the work. Once approved, the item gets closed
- Draft- The item has been added to an event, but has yet to be notified to the responsible contractor. You can do this in two ways:
Open a PLI
- Click the name of a PLI to open it, view its details, and respond to it
The options available to respond depend on the contractor's role and the item's status. The example shown below is the 'Open' state, as shown to the assignee contractor:
The 'Details' tab
- Shows the summary details and the description of the issue.
- Linked Items - You can also view any items like the RFIs, Plans, Plan markups, Submittals, etc., linked to the PLI by clicking its name under 'Linked Items.'
- Action button - The option on the top-right allows you to respond to the item, and it depends on your role and the status of the PLI. Examples include 'Accept Work,' 'Mark as Resolved,' and 'Approve.'
- Activity Log - The 'Activity Log' pane shows the chronological list of actions by the participants who worked on the PLI
- Watchers - The 'Watchers' pane shows the construction team members who are notified of the progress of the PLI. You can add watchers to a PLI at any time
The 'Images' tab
- Shows the description of the issue, the issue attachments, and notes added by the participants in the successive steps.
- Attachments - Click on a thumbnail to open an attachment
- Comments - You can add comments to the PLI at any time throughout its lifecycle and share them with others
Items Board View
The board view shows the PLIs as cards under different stages. Each card shows at-a-glance details of the item.
- Click 'Boards' on the left
Stages:
- Draft - The items that have been added but are yet to be published.
- Open - Items published to the respective contractors. The contractor has yet to respond by accepting or disputing the item.
- Work Accepted - Items agreed upon by the contractor for work.
- Work In Progress - The items pulled for execution in the field, and the work is in progress
- Resolved - Items marked as completed by the contractor. The PLI creator needs to approve the resolution.
- Closed - Items approved and closed by the PLI creator.

The list view shows all PLIs recorded in the project so far, with their details.
- Click 'All Items' on the left
- Event Name - The title of the punchlist event, shortly describing it. Expand the event to see the PLI created for the event. See aboveto learn more about viewing and responding to a PLI.
- Click the title of the PLI to view the details of that item in the right pane
- Click the
button to open the PLI
