Once a punch list item has been fixed, the responsible person from the assignee contractor company can mark the item as resolved and report that to the creator. They can also add supporting attachments like photos and videos showing the fixed item.
An item can be marked as resolved in two ways:
- If enabled and necessary permissions are assigned, the foreman or the site superintendent can directly mark the item as resolved from their mobile application.
- Once the item is fixed on the field, the project managers responsible for it can also mark it as resolved from their web console.
This article explains how users at the project manager level can accept the PLI work from the web console.
To mark an item as resolved
- Open the management console of the project
- Click 'Punchlist' on the top
- Open the PLI. You can do this in two ways:
- Open the event in which the item is included and click the name of the PLI
- Open the 'Boards' screen and click the item from the 'In Progress' column
- Open the 'Images' tab
- Add your notes and description of the resolution in the 'Resolution' pane.
- Click on the top right to add attachments like photos depicting the resolved state of the reported issues, if required.
- Enter your comments in the 'Comments' pane. This is optional.
- Click 'Resolve' at the top right to mark the items as fixed.
The item moves to the 'Resolved' status.
The creator, typically the general contractor, gets notified of the resolution. They can access and assess the item to approve the work or ask for a revision.
