You can temporarily suspend an employee or field worker whose services are on hold due to extended leave, furlough, or disciplinary action. Suspension is a temporary status; you can reinstate a suspended user at any time.
Once suspended:
- The user immediately loses access to their Linarc account.
- The suspension period is excluded from salary and wage calculations during payroll processing.
Best Practice: Before you suspend a user,
- Check project associations- View the employee's details interface to see their active projects.
- Reassign pending work- Coordinate with the respective Project Manager or Director to reassign the user's pending items—such as RFIs, submittals, and punch list tasks.
- Remove from projects- Ensure the manager officially removes the person from the project roster.
To suspend an employee
- Log in to your company management console
- Click 'Employees'> 'Active.'
- Select the employee
The employee details are shown in the right pane.
- Click the 'De-activate' button at the top right.

- Choose 'Suspend' from the 'Status' options

- Enter a reason for the suspension in the 'Reason' text box
- Click 'Confirm'
The person is moved to the inactive employees list. You can view the inactive employees by clicking 'Employees'> 'Inactive.'
You can also reinduct the employee at any time. See Reinstate an employee for more details.
