Remove an Employee

Modified on Thu, 26 Feb at 12:54 AM

When an employee or field worker's services are no longer needed, you can permanently terminate them from your company account.

Once a user is terminated,

  • The user immediately loses the ability to log in to their Linarc account.
  • Unlike a suspension, terminated employees cannot be reinstated at a later date.
Best Practice:
Before you terminate a user,
  • Check project associations- View the employee's details interface to see their active projects.
  • Reassign pending work- Coordinate with the respective Project Manager or Director to reassign the user's pending items—such as RFIs, submittals, and punch list tasks.
  • Remove from projects- Ensure the manager officially removes the person from the project roster.

To remove an employee

  • Log in to your company management console
  • Click 'Employees'> 'Active.'
  • Select the employee

The employee details are shown in the right pane.

  • Click the 'De-activate' button at the top right.

  • Choose 'Terminate' from the 'Status' options.
  • Enter a reason for terminating the employee in the 'Reason' text box
  • Click 'Confirm'

The person is removed from the active employee list and placed in the inactive employee list. You can view the details of the employee at any time by selecting him/her from the 'Employees' > 'Inactive' interface. See View employee details for more details.
